The Barton Blade-R is a motorcycle for riders who don't want to disappear into the city crowd. Extensive fairings, dynamically drawn lines and a visible trellis frame emphasize its sporty character. Aggressive styling, however, is not its only asset. The Blade-R combines it with performance and equipment suited to everyday riding. The single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a displacement of 124 cm³ delivers 14.4 HP at 9000 rpm. Liquid cooling helps keep the unit at a stable temperature during more dynamic riding, and the six-speed gearbox lets you make full use of the available power.
The front of the motorcycle stands out with a set of LED lamps and a centrally placed daytime running light. The distinctive lighting layout emphasizes the sharp shapes of the fairings and makes the Blade-R easy to recognize on the road. Its sporty character is underlined by 17-inch wheels and a wide 150/70-17 rear tire. The telescopic fork is tuned to combine everyday comfort with confident handling when taking corners faster. The damping characteristics limit excessive dive under braking and help maintain stability during dynamic riding. A wheelbase of 1420 mm further calms the motorcycle's behavior. At the front a 300 mm brake disc works, while a 240 mm disc is used at the rear. This setup allows braking force to be metered smoothly and matches the motorcycle's sporty character. The Blade-R weighs 167 kg, and its permissible load capacity is 150 kg. Fuel consumption of about 2.5 l/100 km means that the sporty look does not translate into high everyday running costs. The 13.5-litre tank provides a sufficient fuel reserve both for regular commuting and spontaneous trips out of town.
