Motorcycle Barton GT 125
The Barton GT 125 shows that a small-capacity motorcycle can have a genuinely touring character. An upright position, a tall windscreen and a lightweight construction work well for everyday commuting, but also encourage planning a longer trip. The increased ground clearance also allows a stress-free detour onto gravel roads. The single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 124 cm³ delivers 11 HP at 8500 rpm. The four-stroke unit is air-cooled and works with a five-speed manual gearbox. The drive characteristics suit both the pace of the city and calmly covering kilometer after kilometer out of town.
The seat set at a height of 770 mm makes it easier to support the motorcycle when stopped. This is a big advantage for shorter riders and those gaining their first experience on a motorcycle. The GT weighs 123 kg, so it handles lightly and causes no trouble when maneuvering at low speed. A factory luggage rack lets you conveniently carry everyday items. The motorcycle can also be fitted with a pannier rack, gaining the luggage space needed for longer trips. A permissible load capacity of 150 kg allows you to take a passenger or larger luggage. The 17-inch aluminum rims are combined with a 110/70 front tire and a 140/70 rear. Disc brakes on both wheels provide predictable deceleration. The tall windscreen reduces wind pressure, and the lens-type LED headlight gives the front of the motorcycle a modern look and lights the road well after dark. Fuel consumption of about 2.3 l/100 km lets you enjoy the ride without high running costs. The 11-litre tank provides a sufficient reserve for a longer trip and greater freedom when choosing a route.
